RoCRE, the Rothamsted Centre for Research and Enterprise, have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Front of House Coordinator to be the first point of contact for clients on their arrival to the state of the art Rothamsted Conference Centre. The centre plays host to international agricultural related seminars and conferences and internal Rothamsted meetings, as well as supporting local community and business users.

This key role within our team welcomes clients to our conference centre, and ensures excellent customer service is provided through the careful management of conference centre staffing levels.

You will need to have customer facing experience, which you will likely to have gained in either a busy conference centre or hotel environment, as well as the ability to motivate and lead a team. You need to be familiar with standard office software packages and IT systems relevant to this role, as well as a good working knowledge and experience of health and safety legislation. 

Duties will include greeting clients, inputting client requirements onto a booking system, preparing meeting rooms and catering spaces according to client requirements, service and preparation of refreshments during events, managing zero hours contractors and creating rotas to staff internal and external events as required.

You will be helping with event and meeting set up, and therefore need to be able to perform physical manual tasks on a regular basis.

This full-time post is offered on a fixed term contract for 3 years, with a starting salary of between £20,000 to £22,000 per annum. Hours of work are 10:00 hrs to 18:30 hrs Monday to Friday with the opportunity to work overtime for weekend functions.
