WEBINAR: PLANT HEALTH AND BIOSECURITY OF TREES
Trees provide us with numerous ecosystem services: cleaner air, climate mitigation and support for biodiversity and wildlife. However, our trees are currently under threat from numerous pests and diseases that are not only spread naturally through the wind or water, but also by human activity.
As part of National Plant Health Week, on this year's Plant Health Day we are holding a webinar on the changing threats to British trees from forest insects as well as a study about the bacterial associated disease, acute oak decline (AOD). There will also be an expert-led discussion on biosecurity of trees, chaired by Nicola Spence (APHA).
Held in partnership with the Royal Entomological Society, with contributions from Forest Research, Rothamsted Research and The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.
