BIOGRAPHY
Hannah is our bioimaging technician, she joined Rothamsted Research in September 2015 as an apprentice where she studied for a Level 3 BTEC and NVQ qualification at Oaklands College in Hertfordshire whilst gaining hands on training and experience in the facility. Hannah has expertise in light, fluorescent, transmission and scanning electron microscopy. She works alongside other researchers providing user support, help with sample preparation and troubleshooting. Hannah is currently receiving training to improve her TEM imaging techniques and gaining experience with our new equipment. In addition to assisting staff and users, Hannah also conducts experiments on behalf of users which includes projects within the ISP and externally funded grants. On a number of occasions, Hannah has undertaken optimisation of sample preparation/staining/sectioning on behalf of users successfully and provided invaluable help on several projects.
