BIOGRAPHY

Melloney provides scientific support for the GM wheat facility. She is responsible for co-ordinating the final stages of the transformation process, taking the young wheat plantlets out of tissue culture and putting them into compost in the GM glasshouse, sampling and grinding leaves in the lab when ready (in preparation for analysis) and overseeing the stages of growth up to harvesting and threshing. She is also responsible for the day-to-day management of 2 GM seed stores (plus the group's donor seed stocks in a third seed store – non GM), including the upkeep of databases. She is the first point of contact for seed requests.
