BIOGRAPHY

Rhys's work involves the measurement of soil physical properties in the field and laboratory environments to assess water uptake in wheat. Rhys has more than 30 years' experience of working with soils in both research and commercial establishments, and he uses this experience to help the soil physics group investigate soil moisture profiles using non-intrusive techniques. Rhys is currently investigating how soil properties and root characteristics interact to determine water uptake and nutrient acquisition.
