BIOGRAPHY
Sarah is currently working as a Post-doctoral Researcher at Rothamsted Research, UK. She studied Biology at the University of Bristol, where she gained an interest in plant biology and agricultural biotechnology.
She completed her PhD at Rothamsted Research / University of Bristol, supervised by Professor Nigel Halford and Professor Keith Edwards, as part of the SWBio DTP. Her research focussed on generating wheat material with a low acrylamide-forming potential using CRISPR/Cas9. The project was an iCASE PhD and was supported by KWS, RAGT, Saaten Union, Limagrain, Syngenta and AHDB.
Her current work is funded by the BBSRC Super Follow-on Fund, with the same partners, and aims to bring these genome-edited wheat lines to a field trial.
