BIOGRAPHY
I studied Food Chemistry at the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPEL-Brazil). I got a Master's degree in Food Science and Technology at the same University, where I worked with postharvest physiology and biochemistry of fruits and vegetables.
In 2013, I received a scholarship from “Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES-Brazil)” to develop the doctoral thesis degree in Biology and Food Science at the Institute of Food Science Research (CIAL- Spain).
My Ph.D. thesis focuses on applying advanced analytical tools for a metabolomics evaluation of bioactive compounds, focusing on developing new methodologies.
Then, I was contracted as a postdoctoral researcher, from 2017 to 2018, at UFPEL, Brazil, Postgraduate Program in Food Science and Technology (PPGCTA). During my postdoctoral stay at UFPEL, I collaborated on developing several projects employing untargeted and targeted analysis by mass spectrometry.
From 2019 to 2021, I worked as a Postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Sao Paulo (USP) in Ribeirao Preto (SP-Brazil), where the main objective was to develop new strategies for lipidomics analysis of venoms by liquid chromatography coupled to high-resolution mass spectrometry (LC-HRMS), focusing on biologically active lipids and inflammatory processes.
Then, I worked as a Postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Ribeirão Preto (UNAERP) in partnership with a Live Pharmacy aiming to ensure the quality of the phytotherapeutics and characterize their bioactive compounds by liquid chromatography coupled to high-resolution mass spectrometry (LC-HRMS).
Since January 2022, I have worked as a Scientific Specialist - Mass Spectroscopist at the Metabolomics group at Rothamsted Research.
