The project aims to evaluate synthetic blends of semiochemicals for monitoring Agriotes wireworms, serious pests of a range of key UK crops. The successful candiate will be involved in the preparation of lure formulations and trapping devices, installation of soil traps in experimental fields at multiple sites across England, inspection and renewal of traps weekly, processing and recording trap catch data.
