How do archaeologists determine what landscapes looked like thousands of years ago? Hear from an archaeologist, Lexi Diggins, directly about scientific techniques used to determine what crops were being cultivated by our ancient ancestors, what trees, plants and flowers occurred naturally in the landscape, what animals and insects were there and what other landscape features affected how people farmed, lived and travelled.
Café Scientifique is a place where, for the price of a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, anyone can come to explore the latest ideas in science and technology. Meetings take place in cafes, bars, restaurants and even theatres, but always outside a traditional academic context. Anyone is welcome to come and learn something new, ask questions, and join in the discussion.
