Biography

Georgia works with scientists at Rothamsted Research's Harpenden site to help facilitate engagement with our end-user community. Recognising the benefits of exchanging knowledge, ideas, and expertise between different stakeholders, Georgia helps to identify knowledge exchange opportunities aligned to our research and promote outputs relevant to the farming sector via appropriate channels and networks. She helps facilitate engagement with industry-aligned research undertaken at our Harpenden site, as well as Rothamsted Research's National Capabilities. Georgia works with researchers to help support the translation of research outputs into forms accessible to the farming community. She facilitates engagement and dialogue through a variety of channels including industry events, farmer networks and relationships with key stakeholder organisations to help maximise the impact from our research for end-users.

Georgia has a background in agricultural sciences, holding a PhD and Post-doctoral research experience in plant pathology and plant-pathogen interactions from the University of Hertfordshire and the John Innes Centre, as well as other world-class bioscience research institutes. With a strong interest in the agricultural industry, she has held roles and worked in multi-partner collaborative projects between academia and industry focusing on sustainable arable production for increasing crop yield and development of more resilient crops.
