Prior to his work at Rothamsted, Joseph worked as a Research Assistant within the domain of Epigenetics, Analytical Chemistry, drug-discovery, experimental-design, and biomedical science. Joseph joined the Bioinformatics team at Rothamsted in May 2019, having performed his MSc thesis project at Rothamsted Research, applying his biological knowledge and computer science skill-sets towards the creation of the first genome-scale Human KnetMiner knowledge-graph. Joseph is currently a member of the KnetMiner team (http://knetminer.rothamsted.ac.uk/) within the Bioinformatics group (CAS) at Rothamsted. Joseph's area of expertise includes software development (Using Java and Python), Agile best practices, web-development (using JavaScript, cytoscapeJS, jQuery, and Node.JS) and DevOps (Linux, Docker, and AWS). His Current work focuses on the development of software applications and knowledge discovery pipelines for bioinformatics analysis that combine major resources, including KnetMiner and PHI-base (Pathogen-Host Interaction Database).
