Net Zero and Resilient Farming
Liz manages the Analytical Unit at North Wyke. Her area of expertise, and main analytical responsibility, is the measurement of bulk carbon and nitrogen stable isotopes in agricultural and environmental/gaseous samples, and the use of 15N labelling to measure nitrogen transformation rates in soils. She also works with the greenhouse gas team at North Wyke, helping to develop new, or improve existing, laboratory methods using stable isotopes to study greenhouse gas emissions. Liz is also the work experience coordinator at North Wyke, organising several work experience weeks a year for Year 10-13 students (and also for undergraduates).
